3rd Mathematical Biology Modelling days of Besançon

The 3rd Mathemathical Biology Modeling Days of Besançon (MB2) will be held at Besançon (Eastern France) from 19th to 22nd of June 2018. The MB2 are organized by the Chrono-environment laboratory and the Besançon Mathematics Laboratory (LMB) of the University of Franche-Comté.

These modelling days intend to bring together researchers from two communities, mathematicians and biologists, in order to share discussions on contemporary scientific mathematical modelling in biology.

The presentations, focusing on empirical or theoretical modeling of biological systems, will emphasize the important contribution of mathematics in the biological sciences, and will also illustrate how much the diversity of research fields in life sciences extend the mathematical research to complex and exciting questions.

The main topics are mathematical modelling in:

  • Epidemiology
  • Ecosystem structure and dynamics
  • Ecotoxicology
  • Oncology
  • Cellular heterogeneity and dynamics
  • Food webs and interactions between species
  • Fluid flow in Biology
  • Genome evolution

Abstracts can be submitted directly at abstractmb2@univ-fcomte.fr until March 15, 2018, and should include author names and their affiliation, the title, the form of the presentation (oral or poster) and the abstract.

Template files as well as  Information on registration, organization and access can be found  at http://mb2.univ-fcomte.fr/index.html.
